Giovanni Portrait
What I learned during the process for both portraits is the importance of lighting and shading in an image, photo, or drawing. It shows the direction where light is coming from and it's crucial to making the drawing more realistic and detailed for both gray and colored portraits. The colored portrait required more creativity but the same sense of detail as the grayscale portrait. By doing so I also learned how to use the gradient tool and the saturation settings in adobe. The color of my work can improve by adding additional lighting to the red collar and the silver webbing around it In the program the lighting of the hair is more present than shown in the image. The creative element my portrait shows is the reflection of my lenses since there is a balance of lighting between the shade and the illuminated parts of my cheeks. In addition the lighting of my hair is very distinct from the darker parts which makes the hair look very well done. I appreciate the final result and I would like to do a similar project like this in the near future.

I really like the concept of spiderman being added to your portrait. I really like the way you did your glasses and the shading on your face and the coloring on your hair looks nice. I like the way you did the shirt. It looks tight just like the real spiderman costume. One thing you can work on though is a little bit of more shading on the face. Besides that everything is good.
ReplyDeleteI like the transition that you've made from making yourself to spider-man. The webs looks very detailing and the glasses looks very golden and shiny.
ReplyDeleteHis work is very clean and you can tell that there are places that are no places that are out of color and with his other art work on the right its very well created with the background and the one where he made his bottom part of his neck the spiderman suite.
ReplyDeleteOne part of the drawing I liked is the hair because it looks realistic and accurate to the grayscale of the drawing. Another thing that I like is the accuracy of the Spiderman suit to the actual design.
ReplyDeleteYour work looks really done well and great I would say and like how your shirt in the color portrait is what I believe to be a spider man outfit
ReplyDeleteyou're art is flawless. At least from my untrained eye. It's very unique and detailed. One of the best pieces. I'm feeling a solid 10 on this one
