Type Self Portrait

I wasn't sure what font to use at first which made it difficult as to how to start of the portrait. However it would've been better to go for a serif font since it is less restricted that a sans serif font which allows for more precise letter placements and creativity. In terms of accuracy it is subpar compared to other works. I feel I could improve in letter variety to make certain areas of my portrait pop out more and be more accurate to my face. The areas of growth I've improved in would be creativity and decisiveness during the illustrating process such as using the parenthesis and "O" for the eyes. The curve of the parenthesis was versatile so it allowed me to also shape the ears very precise to the my self portrait model. The nose and hair were the most difficult parts for me to draw precisely to the original portrait of my mine since it was confusing how to use a variety of letters for those areas. The easiest part to draw for me at least was the ears since the curve of the parenthesis was very accurate to the curve my ears. In the end I did a decent job for my first time in a type portrait but I could improve in precision of my letter placements and use of variety to improve the accuracy of the type portrait to the original image.
