Self Painted Portrait

So for this assignment I just wanted to focus on painting all the necessary details while making certain compromises. For instance the lighting and lining of my hair I just decided to lighting certain areas by filling them with lighter brown and using thin strokes to show the directions of where my hair was going. Also for my neck it may seem a tad bit irregular but that is only because I had to add lighting to the collar of my turtle neck which slightly changed the out come of my neck entire. I made sure to add shading around my eyes and in my ears to show that the light is coming from the front of my face. The weird blue path on the right side of my portrait is part of a denim flannel I had on in the original image but it only showed one side because I took the picture slightly more to my left side (in this case the right side)which is why it only shows on my left arm. Overall I'm pleased with the outcome of my portrait which took a lot of time to get what I wanted to see in my own painted portrait. I would say it requires minor details in other areas in my painting as a whole. The variety of brushes was a huge help during the illustrating process.
